Open air Tuesday

I have never really been into yoga, it’s all just lots of breathing and stretching in my mind, but when it’s open air, and with this glorious view, it’s all a lot more manageable!

Work, work, work

This week has been intense! To say that there has been a lot of work to do would be a massive understatement. As seems to have become the norm, my days are beginning to kick off with calls to the US at progressively earlier start times (they think nothing of requesting me to be in the office and ready to run a meeting at 6am), and they are running as late as they can to accommodate all the local time and India meetings too. What with morning gym sessions and evening gym classes I am starting to desperately need the weekend afternoon naps just to keep up to speed with my sleep!
This week I did discover (sort of by accident) that the US are trying to work out whether they need to make me the Business Development manager for the entire region, and then have the rest of the local team report into me. This would be yet more work to trawl through (my goodness I hope they get a new MD in to run our office soon), but this shift would effectively mean that my responsibilities shift from SEA and India to include overseeing Australia, News Zealand, China and Japan. It would be a huge jump, but it would also be amazing. Fingers crossed something good comes from this soon – and that I discover twelve more secret hours in each day that I just never noticed were there before to help me get to the end of all the tasks this would include!

At the moment I am just grateful that whilst I have to be in the office for almost every hour that the day can spare, I do still just about have time for my early morning gym sessions and my evening classes. My stress levels would be an awful lot higher if it were for the BodyPump and BodyCombat classes once a week!

Back on the health kick

We’re back on good behaviour, and we’re doing well (so far). It’s been a good few days of early starts at the gym, veggie heavy dinners, and Nick joined me at the gym on Tuesday too, so he’s starting to get into the swing of things again too. There are five or so months until the wedding, and we’re getting ourselves back on track!Back on the health kick

Lunch of champions

With only a week or so to go until the next round of wedding dress fittings, I was hopeful that now I just need to maintain weight I would be back on eating normal meals the majority of the time.

Sadly, rather than being able to have a lunch of champions every day, I am working my way through the lunch of a girl who ate her feelings for duration of last week and who now feels like there’s still work to be done before the flight home mid next week. Made worse by a string of aggressive gym classes and sessions that i have booked in for the rest of my time in Singapore; partly to make myself too exhausted to sulk, and partly to distract myself from just wanting to go home now and partly because I really do need to.

Progress update

I started dieting properly in early March, having played around with being better behaved up until the last big dinner party that we had arranged at our flat to celebrate Valentines Day.
Since then there have been plenty of cheat days and excuses to ensure that I am still allowed to get out and about a bit, and to maintain my sanity, but I have been a lot better behaved, and it’s finally starting to notice.
I have been keeping track of weight loss through measurements as the main focus of this game is to be able to fit into my wedding dress when I go in for a fitting this July, but when I first started being healthier I took a photo of me in the gym to use as encouragement.

This weekend I took a set of photos from the same angle, and you really can start to see the differences now. March is on the left, mid-June is on the right. Now I just have to try and maintain the good behaviour so that by the time we head home to get married in December I am pretty much the same size and I won’t have to panic buy a whole new dress or anything equally as dramatic.
