Having survived a very stressful week, and
with the scavenger hunt successfully finished, I made my way over to just below
Nick’s office, where I was due to set up base and watch the world go by for a
few hours while he finished up work.
From
where I was sitting I had a perfect view of the SEA Games dinghy racing out on
the marina. I sat watching them for around two hours, and they achieved very
little in that period of time. The postponement flag was up for a long time
until they finally decided to give the racing a try. It was quite frustrating
to watch, but it’s always fun to see a bit of sailing action taking place, no
matter how slow and dull it would be to participate in.
Once
the boats where packed away, Nick came down to join me for a quick drink before
we headed off to a little bistro restaurant down the road for a light dinner to
round off the week. I nearly fell asleep at the table at around 9:30, and then
it was home time, teatime, and bedtime. Not a very raucous Friday night out, but
I was up at 6am to gym before work, and my Saturday morning alarm clock was
already set for 4:15am. Brutal!
