MeatLiquor, a delicious dirty burger bar
from London has opened it’s first international restaurant over here in
Singapore in the past few weeks, so of course I had to get myself there asap!
Burgers and giant onion rings - all the best things! |
Having
just reported back on the success of my dieting efforts for the past few weeks,
we went out and threated to undo quite a bit of the good work with burgers and
a couple of glasses of wine to power us through the evening.
Sunset over the shophouses on Duxton Hill |
We
didn’t have anything too much booked in, and we didn’t have anyone too exciting
to meet up with, so we decided to spend the evening just the two of us,
mooching around a couple of our favourite spots and making the most of a nice
quiet evening.
Beautiful tiles at The Tippling Club |
We popped in at the Tippling Club, a renovated old shop house that does very expensive food, but that also has a lovely little bar tucked away around a corner if you know where to look. Ideal for a little nook where you can watch the barman make some very elaborate cocktails whilst enjoying the classic Singapore decorations. Then we even made it to PS Cafe (my all time favourite) for a pudding and glass of wine before finally calling it a night and making our way home. I had woken up at 4:15am after all - I wasn't ready for a big, late night out in the slightest.
PS Cafe for a final evening treat |
It wasn't the very best behaved evening, but it also wasn't the worst. It was a little celebration before everything gets super busy, as we'll be heading back to the UK for our July visit before we know it. The evening of excess will just call for a little bit longer at the gym tomorrow morning,
and the next day too perhaps!
