Having put off talking about and planning
the wedding for quite some time, this week we were finally allowed to fling
open the flood gates and start wedding planning, full throttle!
Braving the wedding dress fitting with Mamu! |
It
was a glorious, ridiculously exciting week of all the best things. I went for
another wedding dress appointment with mum, and it fits! Not only have I lost
enough weight for the dress to do up, but it’s now about a size too big, so
there’s room to spare! I’m so relieved that I know I can get to the point where
it fits. Now I get to have a week or two off the best behaviour, and then the
healthy eating and toning up will continue, but thankfully without the
pressure.
Wine tasting - it's all about the pretty labels! |
We
have also run through a fairly extensive wine tasting, we’ve tried out and
decided on our menu, we’ve been back to the venue to have another look around
and to make all our catering decisions and arrange all the main details. We
have set up our gift list (having somehow managed to persuade John Lewis that
they were willing to break the rules for us and let us set the list up a good
few months early). In celebration of having a few days off we also made our way over to the Hotel du Vin in Winchester for an amazing slap up breakfast. Our honeymoon will be at the Hotel du Vin in Brighton, so it was lovely to have a little trial run, just to see what we will be letting ourselves in for, and I could not be more happy at the selection of hotel. Well done my NB!
Getting ready to work through our incredible wedding menu - it will not disappoint! |
The
meeting with the vicar was pretty intense, but very interesting. The band are
going to be awesome, our photographer is just a total sweetie and so talented
that (once she came to our second attempt at meeting up) we are entirely happy
with her as our replacement snapper. We have even bought my wedding ring.
Testing out Hotel du Vin. It'll do! |
In
the past few days we were able to tick a ridiculous amount of jobs off our
list, and now there is only the fun little bits remaining. Is it wrong that I
want to get married noooooooow?!
