Bond Day

Today is Diwali (or Deepavali, as they like to call it here), which means that whilst Little India was being lit up with almost-Christmas lights, and the floors were being covered in chalk decorations (or they would have been, were there not a tropical rainstorm causing issues) we had a glorious day off work, and nothing at all to fill it with.
Nick had earmarked the day for Stag Recovery, and was apparently disappointed when he woke up at 8am and was perfectly perky, with no need to lounge around broken for the entire day.
We therefore spent our day working through the little list of wedding jobs that we still need to get done, and finalising the table plan since having to make a couple of minor adjustments to leave enough space for the band to be able to set up before the dinner. I even got through all my Christmas cards! It’s not quite the same writing them without Miracle on 34th Street on in the background, but the 30 degrees heat is pretty confusing too, so there’s no winning on that front.

After a full day of being ridiculously productive our evening was then booked in with Kev and Jules, and so we made our way to the our beloved Platinum Class cinema just down the road from our house, ready to spend the evening under the duvet, watching Bond with coffee and popcorn being delivered to us on demand.
The boys had some criticisms about the film, but I loved it. You can’t beat a good Bond. And those shots of drizzly, grey London – you can’t get much better!
