Fireworks

After a full day feeling very sorry for myself, lying in the foetal position, sleeping, drinking tea and involving myself in life to only a very minimal extent, by Friday evening it was time to get up, shower, and start again.

Fireworks over the river

Thankfully, with most of our friends out of town for the long weekend we had managed to keep Friday night plans very low key. So it was that we spent the evening with Kev and Jules, watching the first day of the big National Day fireworks from the rooftop of Southbridge before heading down the road for a very low-key tapas supper.
It felt like just enough SG50 celebration to have counted as joining in, without having to drum up enough fake enthusiasm to party throughout the night in mass socialising circles.
