It’s been a while since I ticked anything off my list, so with a little
weekend break to Thailand on the cards, we decided to make the most of staying
in the town with Stu as our designated driver, and shooting was finally ticked
off my 30-Before-30 List, taking me up to 20 completed goals. Only 10 more (and two years) left to
get through!
Whilst I have been clay
pigeon shooting in the UK before, back home there’s no way that you can shoot
anything else at a standard shooting range. I wanted to try out a handgun – I wasn’t
too picky on the type, but it had to be the sort of gun that you can’t play
with back in England.
We went with Stu, who
loves to play the game but struggles to justify it on a normal weekend. I shoot
ten rounds on a .44 (which means nothing to me, but it was fun, if a little
scary)! Stu went for the same one, and Nick went for some mentally suped up shotgun,
which he thoroughly enjoyed.
The whole process was
over about ten minutes after we walked into the range, but it was great run,
and it means that I am one tick closer to list completion!
