Sometimes Tuesdays can feel like a bit of a wasted day. They sit a little bit too early on in the
middle of the start of the week and the weekend to be any fun, they are generally filled with fairly unexciting
things other than good behaviour, and they pass by in a bit of a beige blur. That said, Tuesday this week was rather
lovely, so I thought it warranted a nice little blog post as a result.
Sure, it started as all
Tuesdays do with an early morning swim in the sunrise, but look at this pretty
little treat that I almost stomped on while I was making my way to the pool. It had fallen off one of the trees planted in the shared space in our condo, and it had nestled itself perfectly between two of the deck boards.
Then I checked the mail and I found that we had been sent this really
rather random but sort of entertaining mask in the post. I don’t know why, but
it really made me chuckle. It was as though they’ve realised that the best way
to protect the locals from foreign illnesses is just to cover up the expats
rather than having to cover their entire population. I guess it makes sense!
Finally, having survived a really very tough aquaspin class (we have a new instructor taking the class now, and he is tough!) I made my
way home at the end of the day, tired and starving hungry, opening the door of the flat to one of the loveliest sights.
Nick was in the kitchen whipping up an absolute treat of pesto chicken, tomato and
mozzarella wraps, gently heated on each side to seal them shut and melt the
cheese to perfection. I had a two minute wait to hang out my swimming stuff and to don pyjamas (of course) and dinner was on the plate and ready for me. Such service! Now that’s a lovely end to a fairly long day!
