Lunch date

A few weeks ago I went on an evening adventure with a group of girls who I met through an online group. They were all really nice, and there were a couple that I thought that I could get on with really well. It took me a while to get anther catch up booked in with them, but as Lauren is currently looking for work and spending her days job hunting and trying to keep herself entertained I thought that a nice lunchtime catch up might be good.

            Wednesday seemed like as good a day as any, and so I scooted out of work at 12:30 today to wander down to sunny Boat Quay for a bit of a longer lunch than usual.

            We met up and wandered along the quay where there are foods of all sorts on offer, as well as a number of bars which were slightly shockingly already packed with business men by the time we got there!

            Lunch was fairly simple – chicken and salad for me and an amazing looking burger for Lauren, but it was lovely to be out and about, not thinking about work and feeling a tiny bit like I was on holiday just for an hour and a half.

            Friend lunch dates should definitely happen more often. I wonder who I can book in for next week!
