After a Saturday of mooching with Nick,
having dinner at our beloved Artichoke and then going to see the new, very
strange Mad Max film at the cinema, I kick started my Sunday nice and early to
head over to the airport and meet Erin off her 8:30 flight from Dubai!
It’s
a shame that she had to leave her new fiancée in Dubai so soon after getting
engaged, but I hope that we will have enough fun and excitement lined up for
her this week to power her through without too much sadness.
Having
got back to the flat and had a chance to get dressed up our first stop in
Singapore was a brunch with Kev and Jules at Equinox. With some fabulous views
and as much champagne as needed for our many cheers and toasts it was a great
way to kick start Erin’s visit. It was a nice relaxed affair, with great food, some lovely drinks and a great musical accompaniment being provided by a singer and a chap on the piano. What a very nice way to pass a Sunday lunch.
From there we made our way to Ku De Ta for
another great view and one more little drink before ending our day back at the
flat with dip in the pool and a relatively early night.
We had to sneak out of the flat to go to work this morning, leaving Erin sleeping on the sofa. I am not sure what her plans are for today, but hopefully she’ll find some fun and exciting things to entertain
her in our absence!
