Phuket fun!

Sunshine at The Village

After fleeing work pretty early in the afternoon on Friday, we have just spent a gloriously lazy weekend basking in the Phuket sun. Having secured a super-cheap deal from Tommy, we had the luxury of a two bed villa, with a private pool, a great view, and with amazing breakfast buffets included into the bargain too.

Travel buddies

Whilst Tommy was out of town, we saw plenty of Stuart, his girlfriend and Oli, and the weekend passed in a glorious blur of sunbathing, visits to the sea view restaurant, brief trips to the bar, a bit of napping, and some glorious swims – both during the day and night!

Paddling is a bit safer than swimming when there are jellyfish to be considered

Before we left Singapore, I was a little concerned that there was going to be nothing but rain all weekend, and that we would end up spending our entire trip in the villa, learning to cook Thai food and in the spa getting as many treatments as we could to keep us out of the rain. Thankfully there was only one burst of rain, and that was the hour before we jumped on the boat home, while we were already safely tucked up enjoying our lunch-dinner at around 4pm. Then it was time to make our way back to Singapore for one last sleep before we have to ship Erin back off to the UK again.

And then the rain came...
