For some reason, Asia loves a Ladies Night.
One night a week where if you wanted to, you could drink from 5pm to around
11pm without ever spending a single dollar. I’ve only ‘done’ Ladies Night about
three times, and I am pretty sure that I’ve never really made the most of it.
Still, with Erin in town and a whole night of girl time stretching ahead of us,
we made our Ladies Night plan.
Rather
than working our way around all the bars running their special offers, we
actually just decided to use the time to have a look around some of the places
that we had yet to tick off the list, and made the most of a good few hours
worth of gossip time.
Longbar treats |
Erin
had her first (and second) Singapore Sling at The Longbar in Raffles, a strange
place to find in one of the poshest hotels in the world, but a
Singapore-visitor essential by anyone’s standards. Then we went to Lantern
where you get a great view of the Marina Bay Sands towers during their regular
evening light shows, and finally we wrapped up our night with drinks and
nibbles at Southbridge, where Jules came to meet us and enjoy the last few
beverages of the evening.
A lovely view from Southbridge to round off our evening |
On our way home, as we decided to walk, we somehow got sidetracked by another little glass of wine or two at a bar that was thankfully selling chips too - these things happen! Other than the late finishing up time, our evening was nothing too raucous, there was no dancing or disastrous behaviour, just a
lovely catch up on a balmy night with a couple of amazing views!
