It’s a bit early to go into hibernation, but with so many fun and
exciting plans coming up, including Super Brunch which I can’t even begin to
explain – pictures will follow – and a trip to the US which always results in me
getting massively overweight, I have decided that it’s time to save some money
and be a lot better behaved whenever I can. This would be a lot easier if we were slowly moving into winter, with cold weather and rain making being inside under a duvet more appealing, but the endless summer continues here, and it's still hotter than the sun when you pop out for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime. Not so helpful!
The gym has been going
well(ish) this week, our dinners have all been super low GI and healthy, lunch
has been salad, snacks have been eliminated, and spending has been at an all
time low. Just what the doctor ordered.
With my newfound love
of being at home and doing nothing in particular I also got the chance to have
a nice long Skype chat with my lovely Lizzy (whilst I cooked chilli), and to
have a really good catch up with her – it’s been way too long! The joy of her
being able to work from home is that we can sneak a little 30-minute chat here
and then to see what’s going on in each other’s world. Looking forward to
another one in the next few weeks too!
For now though, we have
very causal dinner plans tonight, nothing at all in the diary for tomorrow
(other than the gym) and then it’s Super Brunch on Sunday. This will undo all
my efforts at good behaviour, but it’s for one day only and then I will be back
at the gym and back on best behaviour. Until Wednesday, when we fly to
Melbourne. Oh well, every little helps!
