It’s been a truly fantastic four days in
paradise for us this weekend. There were lazy breakfasts, sunny days spent by
the pool reading, napping and relaxing, lunches in the sun with fruity
cocktails on the side, and whilst there were a few little adventures for
dinners off the island, there was nothing too strenuous, and nowhere that we
hadn’t been before. Rather than go through our complete weekend of laziness in too much detail, here are a couple of highlights.
A room with a stunning view straight onto the beach. Including our own supply of coconuts for breakfast, and prime positioning to watch local fishermen and see the longtail boats come and go from the front pier:
Us making the most of the pool. Whilst the rest of the Brown family headed off to another beach for the afternoon, we stayed to 'guard' the villa and to ensure that both the beers and the pool were up to scratch!
Filling the hours between meals and drinks, I managed to ticked three more books off the Top 100 list that I am working through for my 30 Before 30. Just 13 more books to get through to complete the list in full!
The walk down the pier to greet our hourly water taxi back to the mainland and reality:
Lunch wouldn't be lunch without a cocktail in a coconut. Fresh and delicious, it was just what I needed!
Local delicacies were on offer for every meal - so long as you could handle the heat...
The most perfect sunset during our pre-dinner drinks at one of our favourite restaurants, Joe's Downstairs. It's all about the sunset!
