Trying again

I attempted good behaviour last week, I failed. It took about two days and then I was back on the carbs, back on the gin and craving cake. Well, it’s a new week, and so it’s time to try and start afresh. Let’s see how far along I make it this time.
Monday went very well! There was only incredibly healthy food consumed, huge amounts of water drunk, and a considerable amount of swimming ticked off during the evening. Tuesday night was supposed to be more of the same, but things went slightly squiffy along the way. Everything started off beautifully; there was fruit for breakfast, green things for lunch and an aqua spin class booked for the evening. However, as I was getting ready to leave the office for the open-air session in a roof top pool the heavens opened and the thunder started rumbling.
Being British, I assumed that we would be cracking on with the class regardless, so I popped my brollie and walked the twenty minutes to the pool, not caring that I was soaked to the skin by the time I arrived, as I was due to jump in the pool nearly immediately anyway.
It turns out that lightening and roof top pools don’t mix well (who knew?!) so as I got in the lift up to the pool I received the delightfully last minute email informing me that the class was cancelled. Far from ideal.
Seeing as I was already soaked to the skin, I assumed that a nice little walk home in the rain couldn’t help – I even found these rather fun dragons in an abandoned corner on my way, which is quite fun.
By the time I got home it was dark, miserable, still raining in buckets and the idea of swimming really didn’t appeal, so I donned PJs and had eggs on toast for dinner. Then I had a hot crossed bun. Then there wasn’t any tea bags left (disaster) so I started looking into other fun options and I discovered chocolate biscuits in the fridge.
Damn! I didn’t even make it past Tuesday this week. Very poor effort!
