Just one more day of meetings and calls and then the F1 weekend will be
well underway!
I still don’t entirely understand
what we do between the racing, especially as it’s all at night, but I’m very
excited to get down to the track today, to check out how it all works, and to
get my first glimpse of the cars.
Tonight there will be
classics and race cars warming up the newly cleaned track to give it a bit more
grip. Then the practices circuit begin and will run for most of the night
whilst Chinese pop stars and Kpop musicians take to the stage.
Tomorrow will be a
quick appearance at my friend’s BBQ before we head over to Nick’s work party at
five, and then slip out to see Robbie William perform after the qualifying at
around 10:30. Then Sunday is race day! I think we’ll aim to get a good spot
where we can see most of the action, and then we’ll be set for the evening.
Most people seem to be
planning to go along at some point, so I am sure we’ll find friends along the
way. And with three full on and late nights lined up, I am pretty confident that
a lot of sleeping and resting will be essential during the days this weekend
too.
Roll on the F1
craziness!
