The wet season

Singapore does sunshine and heat very well and often. However, as we’re currently in what they lovingly call the wet season, there are the odd days when the sky gets closed in with storm clouds, and it feels like the dead of night from the start of the day right through to the end.
It’s a fairly rare occasion thankfully, but when it happens it’s pretty special. Nick has an incredible view of the water from his office, so when the neighbouring tower blocks disappear into the grey he often lets me know that the end of the world is coming, just so that I can be prepared.

Around five minutes later, the normally sunny view from my window disappears and the night rolls in. This was the view from my window whilst I was eating my lunch at around 1:30pm today. Just a little bit dark out there then!
